I have been a little intrigued lately with two words that I have heard over and over in the news, at work, and even in talking with people at church. What are these two words?

Intelligent Design:

It is funny, The way I interprut ID is that it is the idea of this entire things is that nature and this world is far to complex to have just happened by chance. The actual definition of ID is Intelligent Design is the study of patterns in nature that are best explained as the result of intelligence  This is such a feel good comment that is made so that all people can agree, whether it is a Jewish God or a Muslim God or a Christian God all of them can agree that there is a God and that he was this intelligence behind the design of the world.

Here is an quote from a series of books called The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy which takes a very aethestics stance throughout the books. "

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," say Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't though of that" and promply vanishes in a puff of logic.

In this text God is disproven because his creation proves that a Creator must exist. It is so true that faith is required in order to believe God.

FAITH FAITH FAITH!!!! We are becoming a people and a church that has gotten far away from the idea that Creationism and belief in the ENTIRE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE requires a faith that says, "I don't and I can't understand it all, which is why I must just believe!" If we could know and understnad it all then what use is there for God?

holding on to faith,
Alex

1 Thessalonian 4:6Don't run roughshod over the concerns of your brothers and sisters. Their concerns are God's concerns, and he will take care of them. We've warned you about this before. 7God hasn't invited us into a disorderly, unkempt life but into something holy and beautiful--as beautiful on the inside as the outside.

You know when you are struggling with God, your relationship isn't real, your prayer life isn't consistant and you can barely find the time to read any of the Bible, Has anyone ever looked at you and ask you, "Are you alright?"

I think those who know us, who know us really well, are able to look us in the eyes and see that our relationship with God is struggling. But Paul reminds me and you and all Christians that God wants our relationship to be alive and consistant relationship! God is amazing, he created you to have a relationship with him because he wants your life to be full of good stuff!

I'm challenged when I read this to work out those ugly things that have krept into my relationship with Christ, it is truly amazing!

Merry Christmas! I hope all of you that read this are having a very good Christmas!

SCIENTISTS are delaying the start of 2006 by the first "leap second" in seven years, a timing tweak meant to make up for changes in the Earth's rotation...

Pretty interesting... Leave me some ideas on what I can do with the extra second?

I know one thing I will get to do... I get to work for an extra second... hahah well have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

Have you ever just had a very stressful week? You know how there are times when stuff happens that you didn't deserve. There are times that life doesn't treat you nice. I think I really understand what people mean when they say that when it rains it pours. But heres the thing, as a Christian I must hold onto my joy, there are times that I feel like crap, I look like crap, and life is crappy, but my faith and my walk aren't dictated by situations and trials that go on around me. I know that God will pull me out of my situations! Thank God for all he does!

I know there is a lesson behind everything and I am praying to see it. Remember to always be joyful! Never lose hope! You know what verses I love at times like these: Lamentations 3:19-32

19I'll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness,  the taste of ashes, the poison I've swallowed.

20I remember it all--oh, how well I remember--  the feeling of hitting the bottom.

21But there's one other thing I remember,  and remembering, I keep a grip on hope:

22GOD's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up.

23They're created new every morning.  How great your faithfulness!

24I'm sticking with GOD (I say it over and over).  He's all I've got left.

25GOD proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks.

26It's a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from GOD.

27It's a good thing when you're young  to stick it out through the hard times.

28When life is heavy and hard to take,  go off by yourself. Enter the silence.

29Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions: Wait for hope to appear.

30Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face. The "worst" is never the worst.

31Why? Because the Master won't ever walk out and fail to return.

32If he works severely, he also works tenderly.  His stockpiles of loyal love are immense.

This is a great reminder! No matter how much crap happens, the worst is never the worst!
